Sport for You - Sport
Much of social media is about visual appeal and people chasing likes. That's why the fitness world is filled with booty pics and choreographed "workouts" from people wearing little short shorts. Heavy odd object lifts certainly don't fit the bill. There's nothing flashy about carrying or lifting an odd object and it won't feel too good if you forgot your shirt.
But assuming you aren't here for booty pics or ab flexing, I can't say enough about heavy carries as a finisher to a strength workout. Heavy carries (odd object or farmer's walks) build a different type of strength. In this clip, I alternate between shoulder carries and bear hug carries with an old sandbag. I usually do a few sets of carrying until the bag wins.
Disclaimer: I can't promise you'll get many social media likes from this type of footage, but at least you'll get the neighbors talking.
