Do forward lunges cause you knee pain? . If they do, don’t worry, it’s very common. . The forward lunge places high amounts of sheer forces through the knee as the quads work very hard (eccentrically) to decelerate your body. . If you have strong, healthy knees with no previous injury history, this exercise shouldn’t be a problem. Lunge away! . But If it does cause aggravation, switch it out for reverse lunges instead. . The reverse lunge is far more knee friendly and loads the glutes/hamstring more than the quads, muscles that often need more targeting anyway! . Swipe right for the demo ➡️➡️➡️ .
