Anti-HIIT Training #4️⃣👌 . HIIT training beating your body up? Try this instead. With ANTI-HIIT, we are looking for low impact exercise at a steady low/moderate heart rate for a sustained period of time. . Benefits: ✅ Increase aerobic capacity/fitness. ✅ Max fat burning zone + improve your bodies ability to utilize fat for fuel. ✅ Increase your workout capacity (the volume of exercise you can handle) ✅ Increase your recoverability. ✅ Low joint stress. ✅ Immune-strengthening. . Here's what I did: . 1️⃣ High Knee Skips: 15/side. . 2️⃣ 3 Deep nasal breaths. . 3️⃣ Bear Crawls: 8/8 forward/back. . 4️⃣ 3 Deep nasal breaths. . 🔁 Rinse and Repeat. . ✅ Guidelines: . ✔️ Adjust the high knee skip reps according to your aerobic fitness level. . ✔️ Adjust the session length to your fitness level (20-45mins). . ✔️ Try to breath ONLY through your nose for the entire session. This is a far more efficient way of breathing and will do wonders for your aerobic fitness \& health over time. It will stop you pushing too hard which will defeat the point of the protocol. . ✔️ If using a HR monitor, adjust the protocol to keep it steady-ish somewhere between 65-75% of your max (for me that's around 130-140bpm) . ✔️ If not using a HR monitor, shoot for an intensity that you could hold a conversation and speak a few sentences, but it would be uncomfortable.
